Problems with Banshee
#1
Alright I just don't get it....I finally get it to start and started just riding up and down my block for a while today. I made a run or 2 and thats when it happened. I shifted into second and hit the throttle pretty hard. About halfway through 2nd I noticed it stopped delivering power and then it sounded like a backfire. What in the world is going on??
I didn't change any of the settings on the carbs all I did was take off the airbox and use some carb cleaner to clean out the carbs but I didn't remove them or change any settings. Also I noticed today that it looks like smoke is only coming out of the right carb. There is something coming out of the left one but almost not noticeable. It will run for a min or two then boggs down and dies on me.

First off, spraying carb cleaner into the intact tract will do nothing but waste money, In order to clean the jets, which is the part that must be kept clean, you need to disassemble the carb's. From your brief description of whats going on, It sounds to me like you are running on only 1 cylinder, Could be a bad plug, loose plug, no fuel, airleak, or many other things. Inspiron already pointed out the choke connector tube, Apparently if thats not connected properly it will only run one cylinder but im not sure, never had a problem with it. Also, make sure the TORS is working correctly, If its not, It will cut out your revs at about 2-2500rpm causing the engine to stutter and kinda sound like its backfireing constantly [it retards ignition spark so the motor will not rev any higher]

Like the adrenalinfreak said, spraying cleaner down the throat just cleans your slides & the throats. Take your carbs apart & inspect every thing closely make sure all jets & passages are clear & They are correctly adjusted (floats & air corrections).
