I was using 10 paddle~22 X 11 X 10 haulers on 8" wide wheels. Great hook up. If it wasn't for my wheelie bar I couldn't launch worth a damn. Too much hook up in the dunes though made hill climbs a spooky deal & every time I gassed it on a trail ride the front end would come up.

I just ordered a set of 8 paddle 22 X 11 X 10 Extreme Haulers on 9" wheels. I should get them this week & if it doesn't rain I'll race them Sat the 13th & am going to Little Sahara, OK the 19th to the 21st, so I'll know how they work pretty soon. The 10 paddles are susposed to launch better but rob top end power. the 8 paddles don't launch as hard but are easier to pull on top end.

What ever paddles you use youre going to need a wheelie bar. Check out the wheelie bar I made on MY Web Site It doesn't need to be this elaborate but you will need one.

Where are you from? We do 100yrd Sand Drags the 2nd Sat of the month from March through November in Atoka, OK. Memorial day weekend is the ASDA Heartland Nationals, hundreds of quads from all over the country. I got 3rd in Pro 3 quad last year & won $350 & the winner got $1500. There is a link to Atoka Motorsports Park on my web site.

Hey Mr. Moose!!!!
I know I am not the brighest bulb in the closet, but how did you get the 8" tire on a 10" rim?? Or am I confused as ever about the sizing of tires/rims?? I tried to order some sand skats for a Warrior, stock rims are 9", they told me I had to order the complete package with rims/tires that are 8". Was told the number where height x width x rim size, did I get taken or what???

thanks.....

Anyone tried the sand devils 20" 8 paddle? I just got a pair on sale but have not tried them yet. I just tried my buddies haulers this past weekend, some 21" 10 paddles. I did really well out of the hole, but man when I hit that second gear it would bog and everyone would sandblast me. Keep in mind that my setup is still stock.

Try doing a search on the subject. I personaly think my stockers are faster in drags than my paddles. If I remember correctly Raptor720 says that comp cut mini tracks or desert tracks, not sure about the name, work well for dragging. As far as just cruising goes I like my cheap old Sand Sharks.

I have Sand Devils 20x11x8 eight paddle. They work very well for the few times I've used them. I hate paddles. They push in the turns and they rop power. Raptors don't need them and unless your hillshooting or from a dead stop. A non paddled Raptor will gain on any paddled Raptor once 2nd gear is over with......

For sand dragging I use Skat Trak 22x11x8 kavlar 9paddle haulers. They seem to work great on my machine!
