The Carillo Rod is the strongest rod on the planet for the raptor. The stock rod is known to fail once you put some power to it. You can also get a Ti rod for $1000 but the Ti rod is known to have the bearing insert slip.

does trinity or sparks or etc. install one of these when they "put some power to it" i'm not sure what the non-titanium rod costs but if it's somewhere around $1000 i'm thinking the answer is "no".

Carillo is about $200

Trinity suggests the rod on most high power apps; however, it is a big expense to install. If you are going 720, you already have the cases apart to bore the case or add gears -- that is the time to add the rod. It is your gamble on the rod. Have the stocker fail and buy a new motor or install a rod.
