If this is a recurring problem, explain it to your parents. Have them call the teacher and get your magazines back.
If I were you, I'd be pretty mad, too, especially if I paid for them with my own money. You just have to make sure that you're not reading them when you COULD be doing something more constructive (like schoolwork), or else she will have a reason to take them.

I had this problem many many years ago too..My teacher would take my dirt wheels mag. Come to find out that he liked to read them too an was to cheap to buy his own...The following year he would hit me up for them every now an again..So I started charging him half price for them..

Dude,

Stand up for yourself. Either discuss this with the teacher or ask your parents to discuss this for you. But don't do nothing!

-They are no more violent that a Superman comic.
-No more violent than a G movie.
-Disney made a movie about motocross and it's shown on the family channel all the time.
-Don't need ID to buy one, they are usually on the bottom shelf
-No more violent or dangerous than a skateboarding, BMX, mountain bike, rock climbing, carpentry, karate, airplane, car and driver, sports illustrated, or popular mechanics magazine.
-You probably play hockey, baseball, basket ball, lacrosse, or football. Just as violent or more.

It's a crock. The teacher has no right, and is demonstrating either a lack of knowledge, or poor judgement or both.

If there is something that bugs me, it's someone assuming they can do it because no one will say anything. Well say something!

i agree...i just wouldn't do it in front of people. You could embarass her to the point where she doesn't care if she was wrong.

I wouldn't let her take them. Maybe she is an tree hugger like my Biology teacher is. Everytime he goes by me when I am reading one he says, "Those things are dangerous you know" and one time he even said that they are dangerous on the road, which I then countered by saying that I dont ride on the road, so I guess it isnt dangerous.

I was the first victim of my school's new video camera's. I was reading a Guns & Ammo mag. They just confiscated it and gave it back to me later.....If i was caught reading that in some other schools, I probably would have been arrested.
