I have a 99 Wolvy.. great bike. lots of fun, only problem is we ended up doing more mud ridding than trail riding, so we bought a Grizz.
I have had it 3 years this month, and have done NOTHING to it but change the oil every summer.
it's for sale too

<< Would you think it's a better bike than the rancher or big bear? >>
well, as usual, it all depends on the type of riding.. if they want to get the wolvy for blasting down trails, wooded areas and even a little sport riding, then yes, it is better
If they plan on using it for a utility bike, lots of mud riding etc., then not necesarily. I have found that mine has a really tall first gear and bogs down alot in heavy mud, has VERY little mud protection ( I was always the first to get muddy, and the muddiest at the end), and I would think bigger tires wouldn't help the gearing at all.
Now, they make alot of stuff for the wolvy to turn it into a great mud machine, but I didn't want to go that route.
so, as usual, tha answer is "depends on what kind of riding"
