Knowsalot- Why do you argue with a 15 year old? You had something in your signuture last week about- don't heed a frankfurter on a stick (corndog)

Corndog has a few valid points if you weed thru the crap he post. He has found all the faults with his dale. ALL QUADS have faults. Most can be corrected. He took the advice of a lot of cannon owners, and went out and bought one. He has found out it is not as fast as promised, leaks fuel, the shocks are to stiff, has a old computer etc. All of that can be fixed at a price. He probably can not afford the modds to correct the problems. He is now looking for the correct quad for his riding area/style.

If yamaha made multiple changes in a model year i would be pissed. The tranny issue is no big deal. Fix it when it breaks. After 200 plus hours on my machine, i feel i have gotten my monies worth.

Why everbody gets upset with a enthusiastic 15 year old is beyond me. I did before i found out his age.

Corndog- you need to chill a little, try not to bash.

14mins,

I'm not arguing with the mis-informed chap. I am expressing how I feel towards his remarks towards his quad, his remarks toward other's quads, and remarks that were made towards ME

"Pay no heed" was directed towards his bashing of quads. Including his own..........'Pay no heed" was NOT directed towards his bashing of members!!!!!!

If you look at it as an argument, fine, but I find it amusing as hell that he thinks he can one up everyone by contacting a moderator every day about something I post. Maybe you just didn't know that.

I have NEVER contacted a moderator. i don't mind changes from one year to the next(an example would be look at the 2002 arctic cats now compared to my 2001, the 2002s are much better). what makes me mad is the $1000+ upgrade during the same year model. then again, maybe an actual owner can only understand these things.

It was my understanding that Cannondale did upgrades free. Is this wrong? What about the ball joints or whatever that was? I wouldn't look at Yamaha so bad if Cannodale is making its people pay.

And chillidog (sorry couldn't help it) I don't nknow if I would lower a Raptor that I planned on putting in the mud. The whole ground clearance thing.

Cannondale doesn't necessarily upgrade for free. If a customer has a problem with a part that has been upgraded since that time, they normally make arrangements for the customer to receive the upgrade. This usually only pertains to owners who bought new within say...6 months. There isn't a particular criteria they use when deciding to upgrade a quad I don't think considering that I've seen it go both ways.

But CornDog bought his quad used, so he was lucky to even get Cannondale to replace his lower frame rail if you ask me.

You wont see Yamaha replacing Raptor frames due to breakage at the A-arm mounts if the quad is out of warranty. Even then, Yamaha will likely say it's your fault and leave you high and dry.

Cannondale has the best customer service of any of them out there, but they aren't handing out upgrades for everyone who bought used or bought new nearly a year ago. Nor should they. If they did, everyone would expect that from them year after year.

I think that most just get aggravated that they do too many upgrades within one model year. I can understand that, but if they didn't do it, it would be the same way.

Much like '01 Raptor owners feel after Yamaha upgraded the transmission for 2002

Guys- he(corndog) is a little mouthy, i agree. He does have some VALID complaints. He is 15 years old, i am pretty sure from reading a earlier post of his. But ALOT of you act like he stole your quad. I have read many, many of his post. I am beggining to think, some are upset because of cannons problems that he addresess. Like this info should be swept under the rug! It is not hard to see, that some of his post are VALID. Everyone on these forums wants the perfect quad. They do not come that way from the factory. You have to start with a platform, and build from there.
