Was kicking around a day trip to Glamis Saturday. Never been. I'm about 3 hours away. Long drive for 6 hours or so of riding but, well, you know. Anyway. Was checking glamis online for directions, tips etc and was reading the rules.

<< 2. Off highway vehicles owned by California residents must be registered with the California Department of Motor Vehicles and display a valid "Green Sticker" Vehicle Identification Tag (38020,38010 (C.V.C) in a clearly visible location on the vehicle. (38170 C. V .C) >>

Whats with the green sticker crap? Not a problem for me but was just wondering how all the 2 strokes get to ride there? Do they not check for sticker colr there? Out of state is not going to matter but a California 2 stroke will be a red sticker.

Anyway. Where is a good place to park for a day ride? i have a detailed (sort of) map showing campgrounds, roads and hill locations. I'm looking to see how well i get up comp and olds hills. So I'd like to be somehwere in the vacinity of those areas. TIA

Oh, one more thing. They also had rules for kids under 14 to have a certificate for riding the ATV. Will they check for that? (Rangers)

It all so cost $30 more to ride at Glamis. The CA DMV Green sticker goe to CA off road riding areas up keep. the $30 for BLM at Glamis go to ISDRA only.

A good place to park to go to both olds and Comp is Garbage flats

IF YOU WANT TO GO ON SUNDAY INSTEAD LET ME KNOW. I'VE BEEN GOING THERE FOR 15 YEARS. THE WEATHER.COM SITE SAYS IT SHOULD BE 88 DEGREES. BUT THAT COULD CHANGE BY THEN. DO YOU HAVE PADDLE TIRES & A GREEN STICKER. I HAVE MY YEARLY PASS SO IT WON'T COST ANYTHING OTHER THAN GAS. ONCE YOU RIDE THE DUNES IN GLAMIS, YOU'LL BE HOOKED.

Can't go Sunday. Doing a family thing that day. Have a whip. No paddles. Green sticker, yes. Whats this yearly pass you talk of? It costs to go riding at Glamis?

THE YEARLY PASS COSTS 30 BUCKS. NOT SURE OF THE DAILY COSTS, BUT I THINK IT'S AROUND 10 BUCKS. I BUY THE YEAR PASS CAUSE I'M OUT THERE ABOUT 20 DAYS PER SEASON.
