Has anyone on here just removed the spark arrestor on their Raptor? I took mine out today, and was just wondering if would hurt anything. It sounds a hell of alot better with out it. Thanks in advance.

I was wondering the same thing. Is there enough flow change with the arrestor out that you should rejet? How did you get yours out without messing it all up?

Theres nothing wrong with removing your stock spark arrestor. It wont hurt anything! It dosent flow that much more air by taking it out where you have to worry about rejetting!

Just a side note. Be forwarned that removing the spark arrestor makes it illegal to ride on most public lands. My friend got a $150 fine and kicked out of the riding area. He had to go home while the rest of us played.

Ranger also told us there's an increased risk of starting a fire without one, and if a fire is traced back to you're riding through an area - you are liable for damages and insurance won't cover your negligence. Yikes!

I'm leaving mine in.

I said I took out the spark arrester, I didn't say anything about not messing it up. LOL LOL I bent the heck out of the outer ring. I straightened it out, and sanded it so it would slip back in the muffler.

So how did you get it out, before I put on my WB e-series I tried to remove mine. I heated it up with a cutting torch and it still wouldn't move.

Well I got it out with only a little damage. Then I cut of the spark arrestor part off and put the tip back in,sounds good maybe a little more performance, but I doubt it, just sounds meaner and faster. best part about doing this is nobody would know the spark arrestor wasn't in it cuz it looks just like stock, it sounds better than with the whole thing out too.
