I saw a new 02 raptor race a 98 banshee that had t5 pipes k&n clamp on filters and fresh top end . The race took place on US 20 in IL at 530 pm. The rider on the raptor had 50 lbs on the banshee rider. After 3 runs and 2 near misses with trafic, the results were the same. The raptor won every time. I was very shocked, has any one else seen this kind of result?

 

Only if the raptor was piped/jetted and no lid. That is the recipe to beat 'shees

The raptor was new he had just picked it up. I also saw him race a banshee at the badlands in attica the next sat. and he beat him as well. and that banshee had DG pipes and a boost bottle. The race was close till he hit 3rd gear thats when he pulled on both banshees.

 

I bought a 02 raptor and the first thing i did was go riding whith a friend who has a 2000 banshee with pipes. We raced four times and i beat the banshee three of the four times. One only time it beat me was when my machine almost tiped over backwards from starting. This was on dirt, were gonna try it in sand this weekend. My 02 raptor was completly stock too.

 

That must be one of those "Monday" Quads like Knutz was talking about. Tell him to bring it to FSW's, it sounds like he'll have the STOCK class for sure.

dang i must just suck at racing. i raced a 2001 banshee with fmf pipes boost bottle kn's different reed and jetted. every time we raced i would get him off the line and then as soon as i hit 3rd he would walk right by me. raced prolly 8-10 times raced to our top speed. badbombardier650 also raced him when his quad was stock.
