I was wondering with all the people using a prow flow filter what is the difference between the 2? why is the pro flow so much more and how much more gain does it give you?

The "regular" K&N just replaces the factory filter.

The Pro Flo uses an aluminum adaptor & requires air box modifications, The filter clamps on to the adaptor instead of sliding into the grooves of the airbox. It's a much better design.

the filter with the pro-flow is much larger than the stock replacement k&n, and barely fits in the airbox, it flows much more air than any other filter option hard to say how much more it gives you, but i could feel the difference between the 2

if you use a dyno jet kit, most pipes including ours uses 148/146 jets with our hi-flow intake setup. if you are using mikuni jets you would use 165/160 in most cases. if you use the stock needles, raised to clip 5, turn the air screws out to 4 turns, and 175/170 mikuni main jets, this also works good but the dyno jet needles are richer and will rev quicker. we have our whole systems in stock and tested, but the slip on for the stock pipe isn't finalized yet.
the pic of our production pipe will be available soon on our sight.
the one pictured now is a prototype. the junction of the 2 into one is by the cylinder now. they look and work very well plus we polish the ceramic coating for a killer appearance. the muffler is much lighter than stock also of course. but its also quieter than most.
i can't believe how loud most pipes are. ours is louder than stock of course, but it won't blow your ears off. my buddies pro circuit is nutty loud!

I got the Pro-Flow more so for better protection than a horse power increase. The stock air filter set up is a joke and should be replaced as soon as you by your machine. My 0.2

For $200.00 you'd think it would at least come with the outerwear. I want to see a pic of this kit installed. Have one?

I emailed you some pics, let me know if you get them.

Hey guys, I thought the pro flow kit was a little pricey, so what did on my warrior was make my own. I took the stock filter cage (the plastic and wire mesh part) and cut off the mesh part. This left the flange that goes up against the airbox. Then I used rtv and a couple screws to attach it to the airbox, and put a uni slip-on filter(type that clamps with hose clamp) on it where the wire mesh used to be. This has provided a great seal, much better than factory. And, I got the biggest filter I could fit in the airbox, which has helped with airflow.

This has worked great for me and it didn't cost me anything, but the price of a uni filter (which you have to buy from time to time anyway).

$134 for the pro-design with outerwear, why would I spend $200 for a system that looks the same without the outerwear?
