I say it depends on the terrain, and the type of riding you do.
I am partial to 2-strokes, but that is ONLY because I ride only in the dunes.

If I did not ride in the dunes, I would choose a 4-stroke for sure! Just my opinion.

Both 2 strokes and 4 strokes,are good,but I like the "hit" of a 2-stroke.

I LOVE my banshees. Although raptors are just as fast as banshees, the 2-stoke hit puts a huge grin on your face. I also think they handle better. I do not like the tall seat height and narrow seat of the raptor. I enjoy riding a 2-stoke in the woods more than a 4-stroke. It is easier to break the rearend loose around tight corners so you can go faster without having to slow down as much. They don't seem to wheelie as bad coming out of corners (smacked a tree once on my 250x because of this).
Really it is everyones personal preference. I am considering buying a new banshee, basically because everyone else I know is buying a raptor or 400ex. I guess I better hurry though since this it their last year.

They are both nice machines....but please....a Banshee will not out-handle a Raptor. A Banshee slides much easier in stock trim.....sliding is only a part of overall handling.
My bro has widered his front end up....it will corner so hard the machine runs outta gas....perfect.

with all due respect to the thousands of banshee owners out there to answer the question honestly the banshees stock chassis and suspension are prehistoric
compared to the plushness of the raptor.
however, nothing sounds as good as a banshee, nothing!everytime i hear 1 it gets
my blood pumping!
the raptors powerband is much easier to ride with as well
not like the on/off switch of the banshees
dont get me wrong i like banshees but there not the quad for me
just my thoughts...

Banshee handle better ????? When I ride behind my friend his Banshee's rear end is bouncing all over the place. When he hits a root or a small stump it shoots the rear end out. I will see this happen to him prep myself for the same thing and I hardly feel a bump. I would have to vote for the Raptor on this subject.
