i cant decide on the banshee or one of the 4-strokes.

i ride mostly in the dunes and im a big guy under 6 feet and about 280.

i like the banshee cause its cheaper and i can have it modded for around the same price as a raptor or DS-650.

the biggest thing that i want is RELIABILITY. i dont have lots of money to pour into a bike so i want it to last.

from what i hear you have to rebuild a banshee every couple years or so and the suspension isnt very good. i have a 400ex that rides real nice but the girlfreind wants that and id like a little more power. i dont really care about racing or going real fast, but i want power to spare just in case.

if i get a banshee im just gonna get pipes, filter, reeds, and maybe a cool head. i want to only put mods that will keep it ultra reliable.

let me hear what you guys think thanks

If you want reliability then go with a 4 stroke. It just all depends on what you want.

Banshee= BEST for Dunes.

I suggest you get a DS. You may be a little too big for a Shee.
The Ds's are great its a quad and a S.U.V all in one!! j/k.

If you are buying the Banshee new, and have it jetted correctly, it will be reliable. It is people who buy a quad and don't do the proper maintenence that cause a quad to be unreliable.

For the dunes, I would stick with the Banshee.

Have plenty of budies that ride Silver Lake Dunes with 2 stroke but when it comes to riding vs. working on them the four stroke is less tempermental. From what I see every time the wind blows a different direction they are rejetting their quads. I don't know about you but i'd rather ride.As far as fun factor the 2 stroke really is a blast to ride if you like all the noise and radicle power. In a nutshell if you don't know how to work on a machine well and read plugs get a four stroke.
Of course you did ask on a Raptor page.

the banshee is the king of the dunes.you can modify a banshee more than a 4 stroke. and it will always be faster. But it sounds like you need a DS its the best 4 stroke for the dunes
