Keep this in mind on your next atv purchase. Self-destructing transmissions are unacceptable on a new machine. Still, things would be better if Yamaha would pay the entire bill.....since the design flaw is their fault. Shame on you Yamaha for not recalling all '01 Raptors!

Gary,

I agree, don't forget about this when thinking of purchasing your next atv.

I, for one, WILL NOT EVER BUY ANOTHER YAMAHA PRODUCT, EVER!!!

It's just too bad I have WAY TOO much invested now to sell it, so I'm still spending!

my tranny went out on me 9 thats right 9 weeks ago and I am still waiting for back orderd parts to come in. So far I have paid for ALL the parts for the 02 up-grade and am still fighting with Yamaha to at least cover the labor however, it seems that I will be stuck with all the bill. Yamaha told me that it was my way of riding that broke the tranny and that they have not had "many" problems with the trannyYA OK. Trust me I will remember this when I buy my next wheeler. I would rather come in second than sit home waiting for parts!
