break in a raptor
#2
First 20 hours keep it under 6500 rpms, don't ride at a steady rpm (bad for cam break-in) Do not lugg it or overheat it!!! At 10 hours change oil & filter, At 20 hours change oil & filter, adjust valves & new spark plug. then let it rip!!
Enjoy your New Raptor & ride safe!

Ride by your self, it's boring, but you won't be tempted to open it up. Or do like a guy I know did let his little sister ride it (she is about 17 on a farm with nothing better to do). Never got it out of 3rd gear, or so she said. Next thing you know 20 hrs. Better safe than sorry.

I agree with you since I broke it in as I went racing last year down in TT250 race. Never had any problem yet of the motor. Except I just put a new pipe of LRD and few days later the tranny start to go on 2nd gear since it an 01 Raptor. So I am putting in Fortin gears set.
