Is there a good website available detailing the riding area and camping areas of little sahara? Planing on stopping by for a day or two on my way to Montana at the end of June and would like as much information about the place as possible. Can you camp along the edge of the dunes or are you away from them a bit or what? Whats the elevation at little sahara? Any other good information would be helpful. TIA

It's at 4700ft elevation. Oasis is the best camping w/ shade. A short 1/4 mile from the dunes and 5 miles from Sand Mtn. Sand Mtn is the main attraction. You can park as close as you want there. No shade at all. Bring your own shade... Head toward Delta Utah off of I-15 if coming from southern Cal. The dunes are northeast of Delta off of highway 6. You will see the dunes on your left and will pass them by five miles or so. The first left hand turn is the one you need after passing the dunes. No highway number. Next turn is four miles ahead on your left. Pay booth is up ahead. About a 10 mile by 1 mile area to ride. Bring a CamelBack!!

Sandgod,

Thanks for the directions and altitude. According to mapquest thats Jericho Callao Rd. (the highway with no number) Could I hope for no more than 90 degree days on june 30th-july 1st? Or am I just dreaming.

Thanks.
