Ok, the new winch (Superwinch ATV2000) will be at the door step in two hours! How (where) did you guys route the wire? Did Taking the plastic off make it easier? Did you use split-loom or other wrap?

Thanks for the help!

Non-Kodiak, to be sure, RyanT, but here's how I did it:

"Shortstop" thermal circuit breaker to battery positive terminal, "hot" switch wire to Shortstop; ground wire to battery negative terminal. Route hot and ground wire to switch, following existing wire harness along frame tube under tank (removing tank might be essential), using nylon wire ties as "loom," snugging winch wires to the existing cable. BE ESPECIALLY CAREFUL NO ABRASION OR "PINCH" POINTS EXIST IN YOUR CHOSEN PATH, E.G., BETWEEN TANK & FRAME TUBES, ETC.

Connect battery wires to handlebar-mounted rocker switch; route "out" wires from switch to winch, use nylon wire ties and split tubing provided to "beautify" the cable run between the switch and the ATV plastic.

You'll find existing cable (lights, choke, brake, etc.) paths useful in your electrical hookup. Good luck!

BTW, someone asked for a ****** block source; AW Direct (800) 243-3194 catalogs a SuperWinch 9000 # ****** block, Part # SW2423; best price I've seen for a ****** block of this capacity (I bought one here).
