My neighbor has a 02 Raptor and he likes to drag race. I have a 01 Raptor, why do i keep beeting him. They are both stock and i evened things out by gearing mine down. Do you think it is the gear spacing or just the rider.

Boy I sure wish you were right about that..I updated my black and white 01' to an 02' tranny because I blew out second gear..and yes the gear ratio on the 01's are much taller then on the 02' I just geared up to counter it. As far as color making you faster ....I'm not even going to touch that.

Supposedly the '01 has a wide ratio trans, whereas the '02 has a close ratio trans. I don't know much about drag racing quads, just a little info I thought might shed some light on the subject. BTW, I like my Black and White, nothing but Raptor fun.......

Black and White Raptors are most certainly the fastest stock for stock. No question about it. They also look way better than that ugly azz blue that when you touch it, it discolors from stress marks. Whew, I'm sure glad to get these quality tips about the 01 black and white Raptors being the fastest. I'm going to go tell all my four wheeler buddies how fast mine is!
