I have a foam pro-flo filter will a K&N filter fit on the flange

I was wondering if anyone tried puting on a K&N filter on there foam filter flange Iam tierd of cleaning the foam one its always a mess.I heard the K&N filter wont fit on the foam flange anyone try it?

Yes it will. It is a very snug fit but it will go on. You'd be best to take the entire air box out. Put the K&N on the flange until it seats against the inside ring of the lips. It won't be on the pro flow flanges all the way cause the foam flanges are longer than the K&N flange. You will need the box out because you will need to help the filter rubbers over the flange from the inside of the holes. I just did this today. I was cleaning and doing maintanance on both my Raptors today. 1 with K&N 1 with pro flow foam. The foam fits sloppily on the K&N flange but works as well. On a side note. Before installing the K&N filter. Remove the 2 plastic flanges/supports along both sides of the air box. Cut them out and sand it down smooth. If you don't it will rub holes in the K&N. I learned the hard way. Also if you use a pre filter (and you should with a K&N) cut the flanges etc off the top of the inside of the lid as well. It will rub holes in the pre filter. Enjoy.

Thanks wshrdskin I didnt want to order one for nothing. I thought if I would spray alittle armorall on the rubber part it would slide on? yea those tabs on the side of the airbox hit my foam filter to.

Nice looking ride. Are your renthal bars a higher bend than stock? Wider? TIA

No they are the Raptor bend they dont flex like the stock ones when you jump. I set them up alittle higher I like them higher when I take turns.
