I was thinking about putting a cascade chain slider on my warrior. Has anyone done this? How big of a pain is it to do yourself? What is the process? Would you recommend putting pivot works swing arm bearings at the same time? Thanks in advance.

 

You have to take the swingarm off to do it so yes, it is a pain. There is another company that makes a slider that doesn't require removal of the swingarm. Sorry, I can't remember who but do a search as it was discussed here recently.

i've got a TM Designworks on my raptor, works great. DG skid plates suck! the chain made all kinds of noise no matter how hard i tightened it. no more rattle now with the chain at the correct tension...
there is a groove in the center of the block that keeps the chain true...nice bonus

 

I just put a Cascade slider on my TT banshee last night. I had the bike stripped to the frame, so installation wasn't hard since I installed it before I installed the swingarm. If I was a complete bike, it might be different. You would have to remove the chain and rear brake line. Then pull the swingarm bolt and pull the swingarm/axle assembly backwards. Remove the bearing cap, install slider, replace cap, the reinstall swingarm. If you don't ride in a lot of water or sand, the singarm pivot bearings should be okay. If they are bad, you can move the rear of the swingarm side to side.

I haven't yet decided if I like the Cascade slider. There is a pin that rests on the top of the swingarm that keeps it in position. It looks kind of tacky. It does look like it can stand so abuse though.
