Moose I have a question on the front struts, why did you make them adjustable? I am going to make some but wondered if I could just use a solid aluminum bar insted. Is there some reason to change the height in the front? Thanks again.

By the way I am completly redeisgning the wheelie bar. Its gonna be lighter and adjustable so I can see what helps the most.

Ward, the reason I made them adjustable is that it could be too low. If the return road is rough I may need to go higher.

But the main reason is I still want it to wheelie for good weight transfer. If the struts keep the front end too low on the launches I can raise it up so it'll come up higher.
I'll just have to play with it on the next test & tune to know where I want them.

With the solid bar you have to get it right the first time & if it doesn't work right you have to start all over again. after a couple of times you'd have paid more than I did for the adjustable struts, to say nothing of wasting a race.

Thanks, I guess with that in mind I'll make mine adjustable too. It will probably some kind of bar in a bar with a pin style adjusment. I am going to do the same on the back as well, maybe not for performance but I think it would look good down with the front. I wonder if I should bolt it to the linkage or straight to the swingarm, got any opinons on that.

As always thanks for the great advice.

Raptorrrc, I'm running the stock gearing. I cross the finish line in 3rd gear @ 6800 rpm (100 yrds on sand).

Ward, I just tie my rear end down with a strap, I thought it would be a PIA to try the strut on the rear!!
Let me know how it works.

I should be finished with it Mon. or Tues. and try it out next weekend. The strut is going to be part of the new wheelie bar. I'll let you know the out come.

Good luck at the track.......whip 'em.
