I called lonestar and they said they are making more Axcaliburs and they will be ready to ship in 2 weeks. Is there anywhere else that distributes these, preferrably on the east coast? I would like to use it before the 2-3 week waiting period.

Thanks.

Go look inthe Dirtwheel mag and find different vendors that sell LSR and see what happen.

Good luck

I had to wait six weeks for my Lonestar Axcaliber for my 400EX. They were on sale for $299, and were back ordered. With a true lifetime warranty, it was worth the wait.

You could try Marcum's ATV. They are in Florida, and they will beat anyones price. # is 877-264-3409. Ask for Terry

I bought my Axcaliber directly from Lone Star here in Az last year and it was considerably less money than I found it elsewhere. You might want to check some prices as well as availability elsewhere and then compare with Lone Star's price. Could be worth the wait.
Incidentally, I have the +1 width and it has made a huge difference in cornering and requires no extended A-arms as would be the case with a wider axle. If you ride primarily trail, especially 50" tight trail, as opposed to dunes or wide open terrain, you might find a wider axle somewhat of a handicap.

Hotshoe, from what I understand these axles are adjustable, correct? So I could go from say 0 to +3.5" total if I'm not mistaken?
Where I ride there is considerable trail riding, but it's not what I enjoy the most. The trails are just transit points to the more open areas.

I believe that is correct..just order the additional spacers when you order the axle. I didn't really go into that with them as I seldom would need the wider stance and did'nt want to change A-arms

The axle comes with the spacers.

I have never seen an incident where you can buy something cheaper f
directly from the manufacturer. In order to get distributers, they have to guaruntee them that they will not undersell them.

One example- I just called Lazer Star to get prices on their light setup. From them it was $289. I got it from Marcums for $189. I just went through the same thing with my new shiny Maier plastic.

papa,

Another consideration might be the "RPM" axle (dominator?). It too has a "true lifetime warranty" and is adjustable from +2 - +5. This would also allow you to go the extra width, that you might want for the occasional mx track. I have several friends that use a +5 without new a-arms and it works just fine. The added width in a-arms is very nice, but is definitely not a "must have".

For $60 more ($360 - RPM, instead of $299-LSR) you get the other 1 1/2". It was worth it to me.

quadfather,
Well now you haveI admit, I thought it was quite irregular when I was given the price at Lone Star which was much less than the shop (which shall be nameless)I first called but neverthe less, that the way it was...you can take my word or not as you see fit. Incidentally, when I ordered mine, only the applicable spacers for the particular axle came with it. If one wishes to experiment with various configurations, he'll need to order additional spacers.
