hi yall, I checked the oil on my 01 warrior before I went riding last nite and it was a little low. gave the maching a once over and found oil seeping out the wiring harness that comes out of the clutch housing. I asked my buddy that has a warrior about it and he said his just started to do it also? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You sure its the clutch housing? there are wires on the left side where the flywheel is, but none on the right side where the clutch is.

there is also 2 mini switches with one wire each on the left, one for nuetral down on the bottom left that will usually leak and one up above the sprocket which wont really leak, as it doesnt see enough oil.

hey warrior007, sorry for the misinformation. The wiring harness coming out of the flywheel is leaking oil. It is the harness directly to the left of the front sprocket. Is this common?? What can I do cause it's still under warranty if it poses a big problem. Thanks a bunch

Mine leaked a little before I rebuilt the motor, its probably common to get a little out of there since its just a rubber gromet pinched in bewteen the flywheel cover and case. The rubber gromet is formed around the wire harness (4 wires) and isnt visible unless you take off the flywheel cover since its tucked up underneith. Also bewteen is a conventional gasket which could also be the problem.

Be sure to check the breather tube and make sure its not cracked as its right next to where you say its leaking, if not make sure the sprocket cover is on and the oil isnt coming from the sprocket chain lube or oil seal behind it and splattering on the harness.

If its not too bad I wouldnt worry about it unless you are meticulous.. You would have to replace the gasket which isnt too bad, also add soem extra silicone to the gromet part of the wiring harness and that should take care of it.

Do NOT put anything in your oil! tom18801 is a kid. He has been causing trouble. Do not follow his advice on anything.

If its just some kind of additive it probably wouldnt have done much other than mess up your clutch..
