Read through some of the old Banshee jetting threads but would like to throw this one up.

Its been a long time since I have rode and actually worked on my shee. As it is right now im running FMF SST pipes/sils, Pro flow foam filter w/box off and running 290 mains w/30 pilots (located in FT.Worth, TX, at or just above sea level I beleive).

Now, my plugs are black after a day ride. I beleive I am running rich, now should I jump down to a 280 main? The bike always did seem to ride very well but kinda seemed to lack power on the top end. Not 100% sure since I have not rode in over 6 months.

Any comments or suggestions appriciated

Fresh gas, of course but it has been doing this to the plugs since I piped it.
Well, I completly tore it down today and cleaned and cleaned out the carbs as well. Will see how she still runs this weekend

Good idea. Also, while you have carb off, check reeds for cracks or frayed edges. If you have some cash laying around, install a V-FORCE delta2 reed cage. Best bolt-on mod for a 2-stroke. About $170 for my CR.
