when ever im in the mid range it starts to cough and sputter, it kinda acts like the rev limiter is cutting in, i don't know, we checked the electrical system all the wires are good, so we think its something in the carbs, we called all the dealers and they say its a new one on them , doesn't suprise me, its the worse when i try to wheelie, i can keep it up for about 3 seconds and the it cuts out, or when i try to climb a steep hill it will cut out and thats kinda scary
do yall have any ideas? thanks

unplug the rev limiter where the clutch handle is and see that get rid of the cough
of the problem you are having it.

Also check the plug boot to make sure they are snug to the plug. Forgot to mention it earlier....

I don't know why it would be just mid range but check the vent hose between the carbs, it seems to kink real easy. A friend had his Raptor sit at the shop for a week for the same problem and they couldn't figure it out.

Sounds like its running out of gas to me, make sure the petcock screen is clean, and no water in the fuel. If these check out ok, then you may have a float/needle vave problem. This is assuming you havn't changed anything and it just started running this way on its own.

It sounds like the floats in the carb bowls are set to high. I had the same problem going up hills so I read this forum until I found the answer. When I checked mine they were well above the factory recommended setting. Once I adjusted them down it runs perfect.

I had a stumble at half throttle with the dynojet kit. I see you have the K&N which is the same thing. It was so long ago in my modification process (year ago) I can't remember how I fixed it. I was too rich. What are your jetting specs? Bartman may be correct though.
