I just bought a 2000 Banshee the other day and I want to change the oil but I'm not sure the proper oil amount to put in. The manual says

1.7 L ( 1.5 lmp qt,1.8 US qt )

periodic oil change 1.5 L ( 1.3 lmp qt, 1.6 US qt )

All this confusses me, do I need a special measuring cup to measure it out in Liters or what because on the QT of oil ( Yamalube 10w 30 ) it only has measurements in ML and OZ not Liters ,is there a way to figure it out? I use to have a Blaster but my brother use to change the oil in it.

Thanks Boys...

Crankcase should say how many liters engine takes. Quart bottles should say how many liters in parentheses. Use a calculator to figure out. Once you have done it one time you will know how much to use in the future.
