Bring your friend into the 1980s. It's a CDI ignition, the timing is not adjustable. I would look in other places to find your problem.

NO adjustable timing on the Blaster.... You have not given too much info about the actual trouble...But this time of year..depending on where your from, Is when most people start seeing jetting problems with the changes in Temp as spring rolls in.... But if you never changed your jets for winter...I would look towards a dirty carb, air leak in the carb boots, dirty filter, oil change, Spark plug?....I know some things seem abvious. But often the little things get missed until it's too late.

My friend told me it was the timing, so i just wanted to ask anyone in here who knew abou them. Well anyway, the problem is that it goes in reverse(REALLY WEIRD!)so i think something is really messed up. It also runs real crappy and is loud.

Does anybody know how to solve this? I've asked a few dealers and they have no idea.

When you went to the dealers...did you mention to them that it was a blaster having problems going in REVERSE ?
Unless I'm missing something...my blaster does not have reverse.

Ok, since I didnt do a good job explaining my problem the first time, i will do it again. I bought an 88 blaster that needed a gear for the kick starter(on the way). So when I got it i popstarted it with a truck. It started up pretty easy, it was a little loud. I put it in first and it went backwards. it freaked me out, so i cut it off and tried it again. This time it went forwards for about five feet then it jerked into reverse. i am going to see if anything changes when i get the gear. But i'll let you guys know what happens

I have had this happen on 2 stroke motorcycles, did it backfire before it started to go backwards if so it spun the crank in the oppsite direction then it was disigned to. There for it seemed to have rev. Simply put the engine was running backwards . Find out what is causing it to run the way it is . It is more than likely one of problems listed by sayit fmf above.
