I just bought a 2001 Raptor 2 weeks ago and took it up to Michigan for a little fun. The first day I went riding at Cedar Creek trails in Dalton Township. Had a blast but some guy on a 3 wheeler wrecked and had to be air lifted out. Not sure if he lived or died. Next day I went to Silver Lake dunes. What a blast. I am from Kentucky and am used to riding on tight trails through woods and in the mud. Riding on the open dunes gives you a whole new level of freedom. I was very impressed with the Raptor and am glad I chose it. My previous 4-wheeler was a Kawasaki Tecate so I wasn't sure how I would like the 4 stroke. All was going well until some guy in a little dune buggy decided to turn left in front of me while I was doing about 35 mph. I hit him and went flying over the buggy landing on my head and right arm. Luckily I had a good helmet on and didn't break anything but the Raptor. If anyone knows where to get good prices on parts either new or used I would like to know. I need at least a right upper A-arm, tie rod, and one wheel maybe two. I haven't had time to investigate the damage in depth yet as I was in Pennsylvania racing my Cobra over the weekend. At least that went ok .

That is the perfect excuse to put some aftermaket goodies! With the money you are going to pay yamaha to replace what you broke a few more bucks and you got yourself a wider, stronger, better handling raptor. You can get a set of extended a arms off of ebay for around 400 dollars or so. If I were you I would go that route!

I'd like to go aftermarket but right now I can't afford it. I was hoping someone on hear had gone after market and wanted to sell the stock pieces. I'll check out Ebay anyways.
