I recently bought a used Raptor starter with gears in order to get the one way that everyone seems to have troubles with. Unfortunately it didnt include that one way gear as I thought. My question is whether or not I should keep the starter or sell it off. I dont know if there is any weakness in the starter itself or just the one way gear. Is this a spare part I should keep around just in case or send it on it's way?

If you are gonna keep the Raptor, and are not in a bind for the cash, then by all means keep it. Eventually, it will be needed. The one-way starter bearing is accessed through the left hand side cover......behind the flywheel.
