Today I finaly got to work on my baby. I live in an apt that won't let you work on anything, so it will stay clean around here. I have been waitng for a 175 MJ for about 2 months and it came in on Fri. I rejetted, adjusted my valves, and did a little trim work on the plastic.
First of all I have got to get the tool to hold the valves in place while you lock out the nut. I had to use a 5" cresent, pain in the butt. All three of my intakes were tight and the exhaust was very close. The first try on the intake I must have been on the exhaust stroke, opps. I cranked it up and what do ya know clack clack clack. The second try I did it right.
When I jetted I went from 165/160 to a 175/170. I also switched back to the stock needles on the fourth clip from the top. Perfect I am now excited to ride again. I new something has been wrong for a while, I think it was the DJ needles with Mikuni jets because it did it before the K&Ns. New found power everywhere, it even revs faster. I felt like I could smoked anything I lined up against tonight.
Sorry for babling but I needed to tell someone who might care.
