I was wondering if there are any guys (or girls!) on the forum from Ontario that I can get some info from. Me and the Father-in-law really want to take a long weekend and have kind of a ATV/Camping trip. Problem is, we have ridden every inch of trail within a hundred miles and are out of new places. What we would like to find is a huge "loop" trail that would take a couple of days to complete, and allows you to set up a tent. We would prefer within a few hours of Georgian Bay. Any/all info is appreciated.

Check the OFATV site.
OFATV
The web-site has names of Ontario clubs and I remember seeing some trail maps. If I remember correctly, there is a loop from Mattawa. Hope you find some good riding.

Where do you normally ride, just around Pen.? I'm looking for some places and people to ride with, although have been too busy lately.

I have about a 1000 ft ride to the trails from my house. These trails run primarily through crown land and you can literally ride for hours and hours and never see your own tracks.

No offence to our neighbours to the south, but we need our own Canadian thread.

OK, we've decided to plan a long weekend ATV/Camping weekend. I could really use some help from the Ontario boys to help plan it. I like the sounds of the trails near Mactier, but have a few questions: Is there a loop trail that would take at least two days to complete?, How is the terrain? (Difficult is GOOD!) Can you just stop and camp? How do you get there/where to park? I relly appreciate any help on this one.

Welcome aboard RYGUY!
I've been riding the trail system for over 30 yrs. and it always amazes me on every ride.
As for atv & camping ...... I suggest at this time to click on psatv.upandrunning.com and then click on there links.
Two places come to mind from this Quality ATV. club, the BEARCLAWS ATV. TOURS and the KOA Campgrounds where the Trail system hooks from the camp ground.
Park the wheeler haulers and away you go on a Camping Riding Adventure.
I Hope this helps.
