Towards the end of October I will be purchasing a sport quad for my 5yr old son. I'm really leaning towards the Kasea skyhawk 90. What would you guys suggest ? So far the Kasea seems to be the best bang for the buck.

The trx90 is very good and bullet proof. But I also hear the kaseas are made good and cheap. Key word cheap. Cheeeaaaap! CHEAP!

Stay with something that has been proven reliable over time. Buy honda.

Last1Left, I'm with you on the low cost of the Kasea!

Yamahagye, which honda are you talking about?

Velocityraptor- Keasa quads appear to run strong in the dunes. They have real shocks. Unusual for a little quad.

what about the yamaha badger, now known as the raptor 90. When i was 11, they had them at camp, and boy did they get abused. Still work as far as i know. Same thing with the honda 90trx. THe honda is pull start though. Yamaha has electric but it semiautomatic so your son can get used to changing gears. Good luck!

Thanks for the info guys! Looks like I'll be purchasing the Kasea Skyhawk 90 (it has electric start which is great). And when my boy gets a little more advance I think Jon (raptor720) has ways of making it preform a little more. Thanks again!

Velocity,
I just bought a Honda TRX 90 for my 6 y.o. son. He started on a PW50 for almost a year (no shifting). Inside about 10 minutes he had the semiauto shifting down no problem. I have seen Kaseas, but I don't know how much they cost or their reliablity record, resale, etc. I know the Honda is a pull start (bit of a pain) sometimes. The wife and older son and GOD knows who else will probably be beating the **** out of it. I don't forsee a lot of maintenance problems and expect decent resale when the time comes.
I had the good fortune of borrowing one to try before I bought, a rareity in offroad vehicle purchasing. The wife thought it was a good idea, so who was I to argue. It's only another bill.
Good luck on your decision

Back when we were looking at buying the kids quads, the only quads I would consider were from IPC. Everything else doesn't measure up in comparison, and they are MADE IN USA using a Chinese built Honda Motor. Check them out IPC Quads They have an impressive list of equipment and impressive suspension travel for a quad that small.
