I know this is yamaha but i never go into honda so here goes....
I was riding with my friends yesterday and we had a new guy join our group....He has raced 125 dirtbikes for a long time and was very good at one time(dad says he beat ricky carmicheal when they were little but cough no)anyway he got tired of dirtbikes and bought a blaster..it has a dg pipe and silencer and a vitos piston with 18 inch holeshots on the back....We rode around for a long time and he really likes his blaster but he wants to upgrade....we were jumping off this about 8 feet drop in the sand and he started realing he was gonna need better suspension and such being about 6'1.....HE doesnt want a banshee or a raptor..he really has his eyes set on a 250r or lt 250r....Does anyone know how much it cost to get a clean mostly stock 250 and how big of a step it would be from a blaster??He loves his blaster even after coming from a 125 but needs something to race!Thanx

A 250R would be a huge stepup from a Blaster. A guy here went from a Blaster to a CT310R, and it almost got him hurt a few times. He did a little dance on the side of that R, after overjumping a jump because of the added power.
The old LT250's are fast, but have many problems. If he wants a fast 250 2 stroke, go with the R.
