Raptor Speedo Kit
#1
I have just purchased a Trail Tech Speedo Kit/Billit Handle Bar Clamp for my Raptor. Anyone else have this combination that could tell me of any pros/cons before I start. Also is there a way to run it off the ATV battery, from what I read it has its own battery?

It does have its own battery, and it should last around 2 years. The Trail Tech is a great feature for your quad! They are real accurate and very handy. I like mine alot!!
It is real simple to install, the instructions are pretty decent. If you have any further questions, give me a yell...

I was thinking of getting this also. I saw a pic of one w/ a blue plastic housing around it to match the Raptor plastic(??) I've been back to their website and can't seem to find that blue housing for the Raptor again. All I see in the site are the billet aluminum holders. Which do you guys have?? Will it be blocked by the crossbar of my Renthal bars?

hey guys,
I have a tril tech also, I love it. I was able to mount it on the dash between the lights and the key. I plan to get the handlebar mount next sumer or something. What tire size ratio does everone have programed on the trail techs?

I have one too, and also have the billet dashboard for it. Very cool setup. I like the looks of it better than the stock blue dashboard. The install was fairly straight forward. Only thing that was difficult for me was getting that bolt out that mounts the disc to the hub for the magnet. Finally had to heat it up to get it out. Other than that, the install went smooth. Good luck with it...

Awesome unit, I had one on mine. Only suggestion I have is to make sure to leave enough slack between the sending unit that mounts to the rotor shield and where you tie the cable coming out of it to the A-arm. Mine worked fine until I started jumping higher, then the cable tore out oft the sending unit screwing it up. The second cable was installed with more slack and worked fine. Loosely tie it up and then have someone stand on the front end and watch what happens through the suspension's travel range making adjustments where necessary.

Moose,
cool setup. thanks for the info. I set my wheel size to 1660 and it was accurate to my distance measurements. how did you calabrate your wheel size and how do you know that its correct. I am gonna change mine to 1679. I take it you took out one of the screws that hold the front brake rotor on and replaced it with the screw from the speedo kit. the instructions in the kit for the wheel size messed me all up my buddy even got diferent numbers and I just kept on putting in numbers untill i got it on my mark.
