pick up my new LE banshee tommorow.............
#1
I am picking up my new yellow and black flamed banshee tommorow. I fell in love with the colors and with the banshee on its way out I figured I might as well add one to the stable.
I have not owned a banshee since my 93 and so I have a few questions.
I have been out reading the boards and gathering some info for a few months. I am going to be buying pipes in the next couple of days and not sure what to get.
I was leaning toward the toomeys, but then the cpi inframe pipes look good also. So, what would you get for all around duning?
Also, they have a kit that comes with jets and air filter, do they include a variety of jets or just a couple?
What is the best premix oil to use, I dont really care about price, just want the best for the bike.
Thanks for any and all info.

I pulled out the issue of atv sport with the pipe test. What sucks is they did not test the toomeys, cpi, or trinity pipes. Those are the top three on my list so far.
I will look into the pt pipes also.

Well everyone has an opinion when it comes to pipes. The Pro Circuits are good pipes but are better for trail riding and such. They aren't a very good high end pipe. I'v heard a lot of good things about CPI also, never dealt with them my self though. I personally have Toomey's and wouldn't trade them for anything. I've raced people with all kinds of pipes. The best thing about Toomey is their customer service. It is by far second to none. When ive had a problem which has been twice Stuart Toomey personally helped me out with what I needed. I broke a silencer and one of my stinger tubes developed a pin hole in the weld. He offered to send me new silencers and a new stinger tube no charge. The company and it's people have always been more than helpful. Nearly any pipe will be an improvement. One pipe I will definitely not recommend is CT Racing pipes for a banshee. We had a set and had nothing but problems with them. CT would not warrant the pipes or offer to replace them. They just said it was our fault because we had tightened the pipes to much. Yeah right! The silencers kept breaking, they rattled constantly, and it had the crappiest chrome finish on a pipe ive ever seen. 2 cents worth for tonight.

Jennifer, Thanks for the info. I have heard nothing but good things about the toomey pipe also.
That is most likely what I will be buying. I have a question for you though, What kind of air filter setup did you go with? I am debating what the complete setup will be. I am not sure whether I want clamp ons or something else. I know that the stock setup is not the best.
I dont think their jets that come in the kit would cover what all I would need also.
Any other thoughts would be great.

Oh, one more thing....
Does the toomey have rivets or screws you have to remove to repack the silencer. I think the cpi's have screws, so it might be easier, but any comments on that would be great also.
