sorry to waste the post, but are the 03 raptors in fact wider than the older ones. People say they are tippy but ive never ridden one. but its like anything, opinions are almost always in comparisison to something else. Maybe these people have high expectations cause there comparing it to a super wide mx bike.

So the raptor may b tippy compared to a ds or cannibal but I have a warrior now with holeshots and i dont consider it tippy, so how will i consider the raptor. thanks. hopefully this gives u a good idea of what my mentality is. im really at a dead end as to which quad to get. I dont wanna Z cause there too delicate and the raptor seems perfect except for its supposed tippiness. Can someone tell me how it is in comparison to that.

thanks again.

I have had my Blk/Red 03 for a couple of months. No I don't beleive they made it any wider. I have not had a problem with being "tippy" even when I am doing it on purpose it's a lil difficult. I am clueless when it comes to working on a quad, I am like the Cole Trickle of quads..."you build it and I'll race it into the ground" But I am learnin somethin new everyday.

thanks! so your saying the whole tippy thing was blown way out of proportion and u have found it to be pretty stable and in fact stubborn when trying to get it to tip? are u comparing this to any previous quads? thanks again.

No, no comparisons, just the facts. I love taking corners. Body position has alot to do with that tip factor. Keeping the front end on the ground it the challenge.

Get a 2" wider axle and it greatly helps stability. The stock tires don't help any either. Put on some holeshots or razors and you'll love it.
