Do you pack iron when you ride? I don't cause i would probably shot myself or a faster rider on the drag strip. Ever get scared out on the trail?

Depends on where I ride. And who's with me. If I'm on US Forest service land, where I usually ride, and I'm alone, then no. I haven't had any problems, and feel I can get out of most jams. If I take my kids with me, then yes (mainly because the mountain lion population has grown so much, and kids are a tasty treat to those bastards) If I am out in the middle of the desert, I always am packing. I've run into some weird sob's in the desert. I personally don't like to, because it's a pain in the a$$. I need to get something smaller, I guess. Anyway, guess my answer is yes & no. It's a risk because wherever you put the thing, if you go down on that spot, it's gonna break something (I never have one in the chamber, so at least I shouldn't shoot myself). Plus, there's that extra responsibility if you do pack. I always just put it out of sight, but you can't completely get it out of mind.

I have a permit, but usually dont carry when I ride. I prefer to have fun when I ride and not worry about what my gun is doing. Plus, I am a big guy and most people are pretty freindly to me.

Guns and quads. What's this world coming to? Why cant we all just get along. There is nothing wrong with handguns. But why mix the two? just way too much responsibility. I don't carry a gun, but I do like to carry a big sharp knife.
