I vote for St Joes. Some of the best sand draging around. Its wide and long.

Now thats its been seconded.Lets spread the word and try to get a date.
We need to start figureing out how set up the classes. It is easy to cheat ,so lets keep it simple.
example

Classes 4 Strokes
1 Any bolt on's,gas only, no power inhansers (NOS,Alky, blower)
(pipes ,carbs ,filters, ignition)
2 Any mods,gas only,no power inhansers

3 Any mods, any fuel, any power inhanser

I would think about the same for the 2 Strokes. At the end we could run them of for the crown of the King of St Joes.

Frames and engines must be oem, mods ok per class rules

(no engine swaps) After market replacements ok in Mod classes
heads ,jugs, intakes

No cut trans Auto on polaris ok

Also do we want to run 300, 660 or 1000 ft?

Any ideas welcome.

J Ross

300 ft is the standard, however I kind of like the idea of racing up to 400-500 ft. 600 ft and over is too much, I think. 1/8th mile is 660 ft and seems long when running down the pavement.

For Faron and me, a class that requires stock frame & swingarm would be nice. Stretched bikes have a clear advantage, so this class would be for someone like us who is running a stock chassis. Also, engine must have factory cases and cylinders, must be naturally aspriated, no aftermarket motors. 3rd, no special fuels, race gas ok. No override transmissions.

Just my thoughts.

300 foot drag would be great. I would also like to have 1/8 mile drags as well.
