Hey guys,
I have seen other quads with extra lights on them. can a automotive fog light kit wire up to a raptor? If so what would be the best way to hook the after market lights to turn on when you flip the bright light switch on? but I am planning on buying the new billit handlebar clamp with the two light built in

i am pretty sure that your stator does not give out enough power.
The ds comes with extra watts so you can, but the raptor does not have the extra, I think you have to do something with the stator. I know other guys on this site know how, so wait from more help.

I run 2 55watts with the stock high beams. 2 years and no problems. I am sure it is cutting it close though.

Stock stator is rated at 200watt.

Not a problem..... go for it....

The Raptor cannot handle 200 watts of light. Do not forget that the 200watt stator runs more than lights:

Ignition
Radiator Fan
Tail and Brake Light

IF you run more than 130 watts of light, you will be draining your battery at low rpm. If you never run art idle, you could probable go to 140-150 watts.

If you use good lights, 130 watts will produce pleanty of light. The best thing you can do for the Raptor lights is junk the stockers, they suck.

Thor
You might be right on that and I didn't even think about other things that needs run from the stator.

True the stock light stuck.... But I got HID light set up that made from Bajadesign. They are awsome. Pricey but who care since you only live once......

Check out the Trail Techs for more lighting. Mine made a world of change, WAY better than stock.
