Has anyone come up with a way of limiting or eliminating the water from soaking your feet and calves when going through shallow mud holes and creeks? It seems the majority of water is coming from the opposite tire and splashing through the bike. Has anyone rigged something up to stop this? Thanks for any help.

My son used to ride a Recon, it had rubber flaps that angled in to deflect the water away from the engine,so it couldn't come across to the opposite foot. I have mudflaps on my Wolverine, helps a lot, but like you said, the cross splash can still get you. I'd put in som kind of deflector on each side, the only thing I'm worried about is blocking air flow to the motor.

Basically I think your just going to have to deal with it. I know Yamaha makes deflectors for the outside but it doesnt help the cross splash. Maybe try something with small holes in it like thick plastic screen it might slow down the splash and still let air to the motor but you'll probaly still get somewhat wet. If you come up with anything keep me posted that would be a good mod.
