I've got a 2000 Yamaha Beartracker. It has a nie handling chassie, but it is realy under powered. You can tell on hills how underpowered it is. So to up the power and handling I am thinking of few things. First tires. I want to find some light tirs. I want 23's in the front, and 20's or 21's in the rear. With a taller front tire it will give you more handling, and with a smaller back tire it will give you more power to the ground but less top end. Then I wil trade in my Moose filter for a K&N. And also pick up the K&N jet kit. Then ill get the FMF Mega MaxII pipe. And ill use the disk to give me more top end to make up for the smaller tires. Then handling wise the new lighter and sportyer tires will help. And ill pick up a pair of those Moose Handle Bars, and throw some nice grips on them. I know a Beartracker really isnt worth all this work. But I love it and right now I can ride a wheelie farther than anyone in town. It is easy to throw around. Well let me know what you guys think.
