Kermit, Texas map..

 

I live in Odessa Texas and I go to "the dunes" in Kermit almost every weekend. Kermit is about an hour drive from Odessa. Odessa's population is around 95,000 or so. Quite a few places to eat and stay. You can get rooms in Kermit at a pretty reasonable rate (not very big) around 5 or 6 thousand people. They have a Sonic, Subway, Pizza Hut, Dairy Queen and a few restaurants. They also have a public swimming pool when it gets too hot in the middle of the day. There aren't any facilities to speak of at the dunes such as bathrooms, running water etc.. If y'all are going I would suggest trying to get there on Friday so you can get a good spot if you have a motorhome or travel trailer. The spots will go quickly on a three day weekend. Five of us are going, look for a solid white toyhauler that says Motorsport on the front and back. We live about five hours away but seem to get there 1-2 times a month. Last weekend was great there but very hot. Duneaholic, have I met you there before?

 

Rodsquad. I don't think so. I have met some people from Fort Worth, Dallas, Abilene and Houston. I ride a modded Polaris Scrambler 400. I ride with a buddy that has a Raptor with a Alba Patriot graphics kit and he has a Weekend Warrior toyhauler. I'm gonna try to go this weekend if that stupid thing called work doesn't get in the way. If I don't get to go have some fun for me will ya.
