I replaced my rear bearings this week in the warrior and noticed that the primary sproket was hard to turn by hand with the chain off and the quad in neutral. I put it all back together and the rear wheels will spin in nuetral but not real good, I spun the rear wheels before installing the chain and it felt good with the new bearing and oil seals. What could be making the primary sprocket hard to turn? It should spin freely in neutral without the chain installed, right?

When you spin your countershaft sprocket even in nuteral you are also spinning the transmission shafts & their spinning bearings, bushings & then there is the seals that is on the shaft, all these things & some I didn't mention provide restance.

Did you notice any problems before?
It may be nothing but keep an eye on it any way.

Thanks, I'll watch it. I have not noticed any leaky seals around the sprocket and this is the first time I've had the chain off. With the wheels on it feels like it always has.
