Are Sand Devil sand paddle tires, or Sand Skate II sand tires any good? Which size rim is the best for a Raptor, or DS650?

What is a good, economy priced sand tire, for all-around use?

are 20in, or 22in sand tires better?

(If you haven't guessed, I'm looking for sand tires, PM me if you know where any good ones are)

I'd say the dune hoppers are the better economy strait paddle. There was a guy on a Raptor at Pismo the other weekend giving it to all the other piped and jetted Raptors and DS's useing the Sand Skate 2's.

I prefer the 22" Hauler or Extreme tire with 8 paddles and a 10" wheel. I've never tried a 20" tire in the sand to be fair.

I myself like the Skat Trak Extreme Grip 20x11x8 9paddles. I can get them for $50.00ea. I've also got a set of Skat Trak Dune trakkers 20x11x8 8paddle tires that I would be willing to part with for cheap(tires only) They have about 2hrs on them.

I have Sand Devils 20x11x8 eight paddle on .160's....125 bones. They work great and will outlast any Hauler by far....Get 22's for the DS...

Oops, my mistake, they are 20x11x10 GBC Sand DEvils, 8 paddle, brand new. Un-mounted. Are they worth $89 bucks?

The guy who was winning had the sand skate 2's. He also had an LRD pipe. He weighed 50-75lbs less than me and beat me consistently by 3 bike lenghths or so. The weight factor comes into play I think more than the skate 2's. I'd like to know how much the LRD pipe came into play over my Alba pipe but, unless I go out and buy one I'll never know.

He said he had the 20" haulers but didn't like them. But, he wanted to get the 22" haulers to see how they did.

P.S. After re reading my original post I can see where the confusion came in to play. LOL
