10x10 Hiper carbon fiber rear beadlocks or 9x9??
#1
Well here is my situation... I ordered 10x10 rear rims for my raptor and they sent me 9x9's. I can return them no problem but I will have to wait 4 weeks for my 10x10's to come. I guess hiper tech is starting to make their own rims and they will be on back order till their operation is up and going.
Now my question is what are the advantages and disadvantages with 10's and the 9's?

I guess mathmatically, it would give it less chance of flying off the bead by breaking the bead lockers. Seeing it would have more of that cyntriphical (spelling anyone?) force if u had the 10 inch rims compared to the others. And also less chance to break. Seeing there would be less leverage aginst the smaller sidewall of the rim with the 9s.. lol

alljuice,
keep the 9x9's for mx...overall the 9" rim is better for all types of track conditions.....8" are better for a rougher track....10' are better for a faster and smoother track....9" covers all areas / track conditions well....i have the 9x9 hyper tec carbon fiber dual beadlocks on my raptor and love them....i have the 10" fronts as well.....when you get to the dunes get some lightweight douglas rims with paddle tires....and keep the 9" rims for mx...
herbdon out.......
