Does anybody know if the Raptor Oil filter is compatible with any oil filters that they would sell at AutoZone, or Wal-mart? I hate having to order filters.

Also, what kind of oil does everyone use, and how much oil does the Raptor hold?

Ok, thanks mark, I guess there's only a few people on the board that aren't out duning for the weekend.

Is it ok to use a generic brand filter, like FRAM? is there a better brand?

Hmm, now that I think about it, I think the FRAM filters are orange. Oh well, I guess I'll just have to get one of those snazzy looking oil filter covers to cover it up!

Check with the Moose, he has a Scotts re-usable filter. It looks very good.

Yea I got one & it's great!!
Here are some pics,
What comes with the filter
It has a magnet in it
Here it is assembled
Here's a comparison between the stocker & scotts
Here it is installed on my Raptor
It only sticks out about 1/2" more than the stocker with the GYT-R cover on it.
It has a larger filter area.
You can inspect the filter for any metal shavings.
You'll never have to buy another filter.

The STP 6607 is the same filter as the Bosh 3300 (from what I've read) at half the price. It's a nice color blue as well.
