#3. dont try any tricks untill you can get major air. believe me, it sucks.
#4. depeding on the quad, you have to balance your weight. if the front is heavy, lean a little back. (this also depends on the jump)
if the back is heavy make sure to get up on the front end of the bike to keep the front down. and if landing to flat, you want to land a little on the rear tires.

Allways land on the gas, it will prevent you from bottoming out by compressing the rear shock as you land.
As you hit the lip of the jump, blimp the throttle, this will make the front end light. You always want to be front high, except when landing on the downside. In this case, pull in your clutch (so as not to stall) and tap your rear brake. This will bring your nose down. Always try and land smoothly, this will make the whole process effortless. If you find your nose dropping too much in the air, compensate by blimping the throttle again, this will bring the nose up.
Getting air is the absolute ultimate adrenaline rush on a quad, but be very carefull. Start small and learn how to manipulate the bike in the air. Once you got that, you can go ahead and get your wings!!
Good luck.
