Destroking the raptor?

Anybody doing one?? I have a spare motor laying around that needs to have something done to it. So if anyone has destroked how is it?? How did you get around the rev limiter???

Whats destroking a motor do?? That doesnt make any sense to me to make it smaller[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-confused.gif[/img].

I always thought destroking was reducing the rod length.U get more power from a longer rod or what some people call stroked. Ive never heard of destroking wouldnt that make it lose power?????

Isnt there a guy on the forums who already haves a destroked raptor? I cant remember his name but ill try to find him, he said it makes it rev out quicker.

Yep ~ I do believe it means more RPM's baby!!!! :wink: isn't that right Swy? :wink:

That is why 14mins is asking how to get around the limiter......

Yeah, I remember reading a post about a guy that has a de-stroked 570 Raptor.

By destroking the raptor motor you are allowing it to rev out to a much higher RPM (hence less gear shift time loss etc.ect.). would you prefer to carry 60hp to 9200rpm or 13000rpm. The bigmissing link to that set up at this time is a CDI that will allow you to get around the rev limiter. &quot;HELP ME OUT GUYS IF I'M NOT EXPLAINING THIS CORRECT&quot;
