Handlebars for my raptor
#1
well the stock bars on my raptor pretzled on me. I am trying to decide on a new set. I am thinking about just ordering a set of 7/8 renthals. But then I see trail-tech has a adapter for fat bars. I called rocky mountain atv for the adapter and all the offer with it is cr high and low bend bars. I don't want any monkey hanging bars on my quad. Has anyone tried the trailtech fat barsthey have out for the adapter? I was getting used to the stock bend on the raptor bars. I want something the same width and no lower. Any ideas, suggestions? Also when I wiped the handlebars out I also ripped the little piece of plastic that the fender brace for the rear grab bar attaches too. Any ideas on re-attaching it? I amthinking asbout just bending some new braces and having them bolt on through the tops of the fenders so they don't flop around as much.

hey RYAN, i did the same thing not long ago. started looking for fancy bars.
gets expensive? doesnt it?
so i checked out the price of new factory bars {i like the bend just fine}....
guesss.........factory bars $28. i can screw up 4 sets of factory bars for the price of one fancy one that'll prob just bend as well.... i ordered them online from ALBA, and they were quick too.
something to think about

I love them...nice when you sit down...great when you stand cause you dont have to stand straight up to straighten your arm if you want for something....and they aer wider...helped me with arm pump
took some getting used to but great nonetheless...
sure they were a little more money but its only money...plus it looks so nice now

I don't care about the money part. heck I spent 6grand on this thing but I want to be comfortable. I'll keep checking but for now that 28 for stock bars will probaly do me. The fact with dirt bike bars I don't like is that most of them are wider than atv bars. So when your moving around in a turn, it gets hard to control with one end in your gut and your body strung out over the front fender holding onto the other end. I'm sure most of you had that one neighbor when you were a kid that had the old quad with the old monster honda enduro bars. It sucked!!

to just bolster what I said before and what Raptor660RNH said....really any LOW bend MX fat bar set up with the univ adapter setup will be perfect for anyone...fat or skinny...
with the MX bars you can hang off the side a lot more then with the reg style atv bars
