RaceWarrior, I've heard to for a do-it-yourselfer to go to a boneyard and purchase the oil filter cover from a wolverine. The wolverine has an oil cooler and already has the fitings and such in it. Possibly go to one of the places that show oem parts for the wolverine. Have a look at the crude drawing of this part and see if that helps ya. Good Luck!

I installed a oil cooler on a BearTracker, but it must use a Yamaha adapter plate. It has an output and input fitting for each hose. Unless Warriors or a like model have optional oil cooler in and out fittings, I dont think u can just slap a cooler on it. Check with a Yammie dealer.

You can also bring the Yamaha coolers into the engine through the clutch cover, like FST does with their Warrior oil cooler kit.

I just added an oil cooler to my 2003 Warrior. It is pretty easy if you don't mind drilling and tapping into your clutch cover. Old air cooled streeters have been doing this for years. You could even add an oil pressure guage if you wanted. I know where you can get the complete kit ready to install for $75.00. Email me for info.
