What is this for? (Raptor)
#1
I rejetted my Raptor today, for my new pipe, and there was some hose that went on a connector between the carbs. The hose didn't go anywhere, and I couldn't get it back on, so I left it off. Do I need it? I also took of the rubber flap-thingy that covers the carbs, do I need this either? It was just in my way.
I jetted 155/160 for 620ft elevation, full yoshi pipe, with stock filter set up, with removed snorkel. I plan on a pro-flow in the near future. Is this pretty good?

It is a vent hose and it just connects to two tabs on the rear subframe. The same two screws that held that rubber flap in place. The flap is to help keep water from splashing up around the tank and into the air box.
A little silicon spray would allow that tube to slide back on. I think you need it.

the vent hose is needed...
about the Pro-Flow... I run the kit (foam filter version) and totally recommend it. Although I run the foam, I would rather run the K&N (wasn't available when I ordered). It is a big peace of mind and alot better flow for more HP and throttle response.

The hose is not needed. I have been riding without one for a year. I did this after a friend had his kink on a ride. It started missing and stuff. We couldn't figure out what it was until later, ten we just took it off at the tee.
